Get Your Children To Value Your Business

My mum used to be a work at home mum when I was growing up. She owned a crafting business and all of them were handmade by her.  I was forced to help her make appointments and taking care of my little sister while she was working. After a while, i started to like it and by being her little ‘helper’ was pretty much rewarding because every time i helped her, she would pay me 1000 yen a week, and during weekends she will pamper me with sweet mochi ice-cream, which is still my favourite (in case you don’t know, mochi is a japanese rice cake made of glutinous rice and moulded into shape  - check out ‘from the kitchen’ for )!! I appreciated the time when i was working at home with her as it gave me a solid foundation in being an entreprenuer. Besides that, it has definitely strengthen our mother and daughter relationship.

With my  starting soon, I am looking forward to work with my kids and i intend to let them learn and get to know more about what I am actually doing. They can be dialling phone numbers, fold brochures, pack small orders, help out at the post office or any other little chore that pertains my business. Who knows? Maybe with this experience, it will instill some entrepreneurial traits in them that will last a lifetime.
